and since this book will be part of a mobile library that will tour USA and Canada this coming april 2012 before becoming part of the Brooklyn Art Library permanently, I decided to create a sketchbook that tells something about where I'm from, which is the Philippines

I chose the category, "Fill me with stories", and thought of a concept involving the mixing of Filipino Mythology and ancient culture being merged with the Modern times.. This book is like an answer to the question: 'What would happen if the Filipino People retained their original culture up to the current times?' Even though most monsters do not really exist, but I believe Filipino culture isn't as whole without it's intricate mysticsm and ideologies.
